What is a Doula?

A Doula assists an expecting mother during childbirth. Once the baby is born, the doula may also provide support and guidance to the new parents in caring for their child.

Ellia Labor With Love recognizes birth as a key life experience. We understand the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a woman in labor. Because of our numerous experiences in helping moms give birth, we are able to provide you with emotional support and physical comfort during this most critical time in your life – when you become a mother.

We stay by your side during labor. After your child is born, we provide you with lactation counseling so that you can breastfeed your infant properly.

Our service as Birth Birth Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) are available in the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Polk County). We will be happy to provide affordable services in your home, hospital or birth center.
